La Jolla, CA- Washington Times editor Tony Blankley (former Reagan speechwriter and contributor to CNN, Fox News) announced today that his paper will run an op-ed piece on Thursday May, 25th written by KCBQ talk show host Rick Amato. The topic will be Rick's analyses of California's 50th district congressional race. Last week the candidates debated each other on 'The Rick Amato Show' in a San Diego radio exclusive. Show On The Road From Brush Realty A Huge Success!

  The Rick Amato Show went on the road for the first time, at Brush Realty and Financial Services in Escondido, and by any measurement it was a huge success!!!
The mayor of Escondido, several Escondido City Council members and even Congressional candidate Brian Bilbray and his wife, were on hand to help Glen and Debbie Brush celebrate the grand opening of Brush Realty and Financial Services. It was estimated 100-200 people were in attendance.

Brush Realty employs twenty-two agents and does over $100 million in annual real estate business. Their office is located in The Signature Pavillion Shopping Center, across from The Escondido Performing Arts Center.

The Rick Amato Show Gets Debate Exclusive!

La Jolla, CA- Democratic candidate Francine Busby and Republican candidate Brian Bilbray of the 50th district Congressional race, will debate each other live on The Rick Amato Show on Tuesday, May 16th from 6:00pm-7:30pm on 1170 KCBQ. This is a San Diego radio exclusive, as the candidates are not scheduled or expected to debate on any other radio show. William Griffith and Paul King of the Independent and Libertarian parties have been invited and will also participate.

Rick Amato will co-moderate the debate along with a 'guest co-moderator' whose name will be announced shortly. In addition to the co-moderators asking questions, the KCBQ listening audience will also be invited to participate. During the 6:30-7:00 segment, the phone lines will be opened so that KCBQ listeners may ask questions directly of the candidates.

"I would like to thank all the candidates and their staffs for working tirelessly and unselfishly to make this debate possible", Amato said. "I would also like to thank Michael Reichert and the management at KCBQ and Salem Communications for having the vision and flexibility necessary, to make this debate a success for all involved."

The 50th district Congressional race has become a battleground race and has drawn national interest and attention. The election is June 6th.
